COVID-19 Guidelines

Dear Visitors,

We look forward to welcoming each one of you to June's 2021 edition in Basel. Please note that a valid Swiss or EU COVID-19 certificate will be required to access the hall. June Art Fair takes place in Hall 4.1 of Messe Basel. Entrance to June Art Fair is from Design Miami. We encourage you to review the information below to ensure that you can enjoy the fair.

Swiss or EU COVID-19 Certificate

Accessing June Art Fair will be granted to people in possession of a valid Swiss or EU COVID-19 certificate as well as an identity document (ID, passport, driving license). Children under 16 are exempt from this rule.

Please note that the protocol to receive a Swiss COVID-19 certificate varies depending on the country in which you have been vaccinated or that has issued your proof of recovery from COVID-19.

Steps to take prior to visiting June Art Fair:

Before traveling to Basel, please ensure that you:

  1. Have checked entry requirements for Switzerland on travelcheck.admin.ch

  2. Bring a valid Swiss or EU COVID-19 certificate as well as an identity document (ID, passport, driving license) on-site at the fair

What you need to access June Art Fair

June Art Fair takes place in Hall 4.1 of Messe Basel. Entrance to June Art Fair is from Design Miami. To access June Art Fair and to ensure the safest possible environment for all involved parties, we kindly ask you to:

  1. Present a valid Swiss or EU COVID-19 certificate as well as an identity document (ID, passport, driving license) for security check at the entrance of Design Miami
  2. Wear a face mask covering your mouth and nose on the June Art Fair premises at all times.

Please note:

An access wristband is also available for visitors allowing them to enjoy all fairs in close proximity.

To obtain yours:

1) Please visit the dedicated COVID-19 Certification Center on-site at Art Basel, to validate your Swiss or EU COVID-19 certificate

2) Wear the access wristband you will receive upon validation

3) You still need to obtain tickets for accessing the other fairs

General Information

For general information on Switzerland's COVID-19 policies, visit the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health's website

Information for people vaccinated in a country other than a EU/EFTA State or Switzerland

Guests who were vaccinated in a non-EU/EFTA state with a vaccine that has been approved by the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health must email their proof of vaccination, as well as a copy of their valid photo ID to covid-cert@bs.ch by Monday, September 13, the latest. Should all submitted documents be valid, they will be converted into a Swiss COVID-19 certificate, a printout of which can be picked up from Wednesday, September 15 onwards at the COVID-19 Certification Center on-site upon presentation of the original documents (proof of vaccination and photo ID)
